Great classic burger joint with outdoor seating and a menu full of fresh and delicious options! Very happy to find a great gluten free bun for a tasty burger. Playground is a little smaller than the photos lead you to believe, but my nephew was happy!

Very tasty! Service is quick and parking in the gravel parking lot makes it for easy in and out. Small town creamy feel that is great for visiting and grabbing a burger or a Reuben.... And even my favorite the chicken sandwich. My family and I often swing in here when we visit canyon lake and we head to Overlook Park or North Park to take the kids for a Sunday. Prices are good and there's a little park out back for the kids to play in a shaded area under the trees next to a creek that flows by the hillside. Picnic tables and the shade tree had the finishing touches to this hometown Drive-In. There's quite a wide variety on the menu so definitely get the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles on the side!
BIG HIT WITH THE FAMILY. It was Busy but worth the wait! Got there right before closing time and we weren't the only one's. About 30 minutes before they closed, about 15 people showed up along with a few carry out orders. They did their best and stayed positive. The cooks were sweating like crazy back there! The food was yummy. The atmosphere was awesome. We played corn hole, tic tac toe and connect four while waiting for our food to be done. If your smart, order a milkshake while you wait. It really helps the hunger pains. 🤣
Cool little place with lots of outside space and friendly staff. We had the mushroom Swiss burger, the patty melt, the Texas tots, and the funnel cake fries with chocolate dipping sauce. Everything was delicious and the Texas tots were Huge! I liked that they had several beer and wine options. I went with the local craft beer from Roughhouse Brewing called honeycrumb.
I don’t know why the heck this place has bad reviews cause let me tell you, as a Cuban woman from Miami, their Cuban sandwich was DAMN good! And we in Texas baby, super good people and friendly service! I recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻
Corner shack local burger grill. Lots of options, like fried pork skins and fried mushrooms. Everything was spot on, on time, and fresh. Ordered online for lunch on a Saturday. PRO TIPS: - Only seating is outside, with a few seats in a open air patio. Best to grab it to go. - Lots of customization options. Like I got the double cheeseburger and subbed toast for bun, cooked onions for raw, and cheddar instead of american. - Ordering online was actually useful, and all the customization options were still available. One suggestion for the business: Slice the mushrooms at least in halves before frying. Whole mushroom was too much in a bite and scalding hot juice comes squirting out onto your face and hands.
Great burger spot at Canyon Lake. Lots of different options to choose from for people with different dietary needs. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and it was delicious. I liked their tater tots over their wedge fries. Lots of seating, all outdoors, with lots of room for people to play and a kids playground. The wait can be long, but it’s well worth it. Would definitely go again if I was in the area!
During our visit to Canyon Lake area we ate here at the Canyon City Grill. We had a hamburger chicken burger onion rings and tots. Everything was so delicious fresh and came out hot. The lady working window was friendly. The day was cold drizzly and chilly so we took the food back to our room. The place has a nice outside area with a little play area for children. I can see this place being a really nice place to relax on a nice sunny day. When visiting in the area we will come back here. They do make things to order so there was a small wait just an fyi for those that might be on a time crunch.
Great little place, unexpectedly really great food. Rueben was a "best ever" among our order. Great sweet potato waffle fries and fresh cut fries. Very well priced also. Drink shop next door has good milkshakes.
